History Of Mark 1
Mark One Access was born out of the increased demands for powered access through our hire business, Mark One Hire. In 1998 we went ahead and ordered Niftylift towable booms and various scissor lifts to add to our hire fleet. We delivered these pieces of equipment using a Discovery 4x4 and trailer.
As demand grew, we gradually increased the range, leading to the purchase of our first 7.5 ton truck to make deliveries to our customers. Our drivers and staff were then trained to IPAF Demonstrator level, thus enabling customer handover and familiarisation.
Since this point, we have steadily increased the range and quantity of our access machines. The growth in our Access Hire business meant that in early 2013 we decided to centralise all the Powered Access equipment at a new dedicated Access yard in Southend near our main office.
Every year the business has increased its hire fleet of equipment and it now includes bigger and greener machines to ensure we continue to meet our customer requirements and legislation. We have also increased our fleet of delivery vehicles to includes two 26T lorries to make sure that we can keep up with customer demand. We now cover a vast area of the UK including Essex, Hertfordfordshire, Suffolk, Kent and London. We often travel further afield to meet our customer needs. All of our delivery vehicles are FORS approved.
